Hi iam 13 and started my periods a couple of months ago but the problem is that my periods are very short2-3 days maybe 4 at the most! And iam not a heavy bleeder or a light bleeder, is there something wrong with me? Question

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. I was 12 when i started mine and it started as 7 days for awhile then went to 3 then jumped to 5. When you are that young your body is trying to adjust to changes and so you hormones are also adjusting and your body is trying to catch up. Your periods might be a little wacky for awhile until your body settles in. The norm I think is 2-7 days and some people have heavy and others have light and some vary throughout the period.

when i 1st got my period it went for 3 days then 4 then 5 then 7! I now know how long i'll have it for. Don't be worried,your body is just changing.

hey. going along with this topic. i'm 15 and last night i was 99% sure i had finally started my period... but today there is nothing. is it possible to have a period that short? could there be something wrong?
this has happened before, but it wasn't as much blood as there was last night.

I've always understood that the first year of having your period, it will be really irregular. For the girls above, when I started it was like that bleeding a little one day , just about nothing the next day and more on the third day. But I started when I was 12 and I'm 18 now and I still have the most irregular periods. It lasts about 3-4 days and I don't have the next one for 1.5-3 months. This really concerns my boyfriend and I don't know what to tell him because I haven't a clue on how to explain.
