Hey everyone, just from reading some of the posts i must be doing pretty good. On day's 5-7 i was thinking to myself what have i done this sucks. I at that point had lost 10 pounds and was still not able to eat anything other than milk shakes and some baby food and yes slushies. But on day 8 and on everything just got a whole lot better. It was weird. I still have mild pain when i swallow but i'm not taking any pain meds and i still have a little bit of scabbing left. My only concern has been that on my right side my mouth is still half closed due to some tissue that seems tight, that's where the little bit of pain comes from, (when i swallow it pulls) not to sure if anyone else has ever had this problem but i'm going to see my gp on tuesday so hopefully i won't have to have more surgery to fix it. I did finally go back to work yesterday, since i clean houses i've had to take it easy. It's amazing how being off work and having this surgery done has taken alot out of me. For the most part i can eat almost anything i still have to avoid heavily flavored food and spicy or really salty other than that its good. So good luck to everybody out there having the surgery done or who are still recovering. Laughing
