if i were you, i would set ground rules, and if she got an attitude when you told her the rules i would smack her.
Set her in line.

sad but AGREED, i'm 16 and i used to be just like that.. show her who is boss ground her if you feel guilty about violence.. lock her windows and doors and keep her in her room until her school work is better.. my dad took away my computer until my grades and stuff were better... example 44 in math to 84 in one month Razz cut her off from the thing she likes the most friends and guys..

woooah now now ... i think that is over doing it locking her windows and door is over exagurating ... u can bribe her u take away the of things she like for exchange of good grades and chores and stuff then give em back but u dont have to lock her in a room she isnt a cage animal shes a human.

At 14, I don't know why on Earth you can't control her actions....she's still a minor under YOUR roof. However, cutting the relationship off with the baby's father doesn't help with the sneaking and the lying. Trust me! I know so! It only makes it worse....increases the lying and the sneaking around. She's already gotten pregnant and had the abortion. What else is there that's worse for you to fear or to keep her from? Besides, going back on your word doesn't help at all either. That only gives her the feeling that it's okay that she does what she pleases, because it's not like you follow through anyway. Now do you? I know that may sound cruel, but it's the truth. Until she's legal, I feel you need to take control. You should let her see the baby's father. There's no sense in keeping her from him if she runs the street anyway.

I am a 14 year old girl, but I am nothing like your daughter. At the moment I am writing a book, and I think the best thing you could do for her is completely ignore her. Do not help her when she asks for it, don't wake her up in the mornings and don't make her lunch. Let her figure out what to do with herself on her own. Soon enough, in order to keep herself sane she will start to fix herself up. It would still be a good idea to lock windows and doors, and physically restrict her, but if you make it so the only support you give her is moral, then she can work up from there. Just an idea to throw out, but now I can take care of myself, and I find that following the rules is effortless because acting out, and friends are so minor when you have better, more productive things to do. Parents are mentors, not slaves

if your not strong enought to raise a child properly DONT HAVE ONE!! its as much your fault for her behavior as it is hers..

..i dont like saying things like this but ITS ALL THE PARENTS FAULT!!

SET RULES AND STAND BY THEM!!.. and you should have been doin this years ago!! your children are too old not to resent you now.. you should have thought ahead when they were younger and let them know that punishing them is for their own good!..

and NEVER talk to anyone under the age of 15 like they are an adult, or theyl believe it!

An abortion has probably left her completely emotionally drained. I f you know that your daughter is already having sex suggest she goes on the pill. She should also be using Condoms but as we all know it's never really on your mind at the time. At fourteen she's not had very much sexual education yet. try and engage her and her friends on fun days out with your family so that she wants to spend time with you and you get to know her friends at the same time. It's completely natural for a teenager to feel trapped by their parents.
