alright well in 16 and went to a party where there was drinking. i ended up having sex with a mutual friend with protection and during the last day of my period (the 21st). now its the 20th of the next month and my period is late. i have heard delayed periods can be caused by stress, especially during the 2 weeks following the period (which absolutely happened to me, most stressful 2 weeks of my life)... i know its possible for me to be pregnant but i have serious doubts to whether i am, i have no symptoms .. how long should i wait before i get a test?

If you used protection during intercourse it is not likely that you will get pregnant...Your period could be late due to a number of things...Its best to wait about 12 to 16 days after intercourse to take one....There are other types of birth control out there..If you are not wanting to get pregnant at this time you could try going to planned parenthood and they can tell you the different types that they have avalable and what would be best for you to use...It is totaly confidential and your parents wouldnt find out about it unless you told them..They also help people out who have no income..Wish you luck and hope that this helps....
