Okay, so for (approx.) the past 10 monthes I've been suffering from extreme exhaustion. I used to be extremely energetic & extremely active but now all I ever feel like doing is sleeping. On a day after school where I have no homework & no sports I go right to bed, even if that means it's about 4:00pm, and I wake up every morning at 6:00am. I get at least 12 hours of sleep every night & I still feel exhausted by noon. This is really begining to affect my school work, I can barely keep my eyes open past 5:00pm. I also have been experiencing frequent urination. So far, since I began writing this, I've gone to the bathroom twice & every single time after I go to the bathroom I feel like I have to go again (really badly) right away afterwards. This feeling usually lasts around 40 minutes. Also when I do have to urinate, the urge (usually) comes on really strong, out of no where & I can barely hold it to get to the bathroom. I'm 16 years old & female, if anyone has any idea what could be wrong please let me know? Thanks, a lot Smile.

This sounds quite alot like CFS/ME to me. I used to have this, and the first symptoms were as you describe. Don't worry, most people recover from CFS, especially if you're young.
Quite often its about working out what your body is trying to tell you eg. changing lifestyle/more positive thought patterns/doing more stuff you enjoy/quitting a job you hate etc. Its often related to emotions.
Check out the medical section on AYME's website (Assoc of Youth with ME), or Action for ME.
I recommend doing The Lightning Process if you think it sounds like CFS, and finding a sympathetic doctor.
Best wishes, Lucy

Your symptoms fall into the category of alot of medical conditions. You should also consider the fact you may have depression or some other related psychiatric illness.

The first thing you should do is consult your doctor soon and get medically cleared before you explore the possibility of depression et al.,

If you're unsure, it would be helpful to read up on CFS, and especially articles such as this, which help to clarify the difference between CFS and depression.
sleepydust.net/CHRONIC-FATIGUE-SYNDROME-AND-DEPRESSION.html

It is quite a grey area, as sometimes depression can trigger CFS, and also visa versa. They are seperate illnesses, but often overlap.

After reading about your symptoms i decided I had to write and tell you to see an endocrinologist right away. You may not have it, but my son was 13 when he was diagnosed, it went mis-diagnosed for many months and he almost died before the hospital and doctors figured it out. He was exhausted all the time and missed a lot of school. towards the end he also started throwing up. One of his smyptoms was also darkening of the skin. It is worth looking into. Good Luck!!!
