18yo Female awaiting a tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy usi

I'm an 18 yo female. And I'm waiting for a call from the ENT to as when tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy using coblation will be done! I'm a little nervous as to this will be my first surgery. I have always had enlarged tonsils (since i was born, as well as my other 3 siblings, who all had theirs removed at a younger age) and i deal with on average 7-9 sore throats a year and this past Sept. as far as i could remember tonsillitis! What a pain in the butt that was!! UGH!!! Well my ENT said i should benefit very well from the surgery and should cut back on my getting sick! I've always had to miss school due to being sick all the time! My doctor bills along with meds is costing my mom an arm and a leg every year! THANK GOD for my insurance! lol Right now I'm actually beginning to feel a bit of a sore throat coming on!! It sucks! My nose gets to running and i can't swallow!! But when this happens my tonsils get so inflamed and become so large that's it hard for me to breathe! I find my self gasping for air ALL THE TIME! It's a pain! And I've been waiting for this surgery for years now and have finally decided I'm mentally ready for it! Tomorrow is when i should found out the date! I'm super excited that this is finally happening but nervous because of all the pain! FYI i have a low tolerance for pain and I'm a BIG baby when it comes to needles or anything piercing the skin!!!! So don't ask me how I'm gonna do this cuz i honestly don't know how!!!! I'm just gonna let whatever happen... happen, i guess!!!! I think this is gonna be worth it in the end as to being sick all year long and ruining my plans! I'm a college student taking 16 credits hours (5 classes) Tuesday and Thursday! So i was told I'd out be out for 2-2 1/2 weeks! That's a min. of 3 classes for each!!!!! I've already e-mailed my professors as to what is going to be happening! So hopefully they will be very understanding. Wish me the best! I can't wait til this is all over!!!
