I had a total thyroidectomy on Feb 1st, 2008 and everyone says that my scar looks great and it's hardly noticable. It looks like its healed completely but when I wear a shirt that comes all the way up to my neck or when something rubs on my scar it itches SO bad. How long will this last?

it sounds bad but the itching is GOOD - which means your skin is healing. I found using a cool ice pack helped to ignore the itching, or a cool cloth.
