20 weeks, worried about procedure/anasthetic

I am 20 weeks pregnant and have an appointment for a d&e in the next few days. I will not be reconsidering or rethinking so if you intend those kind of suggestions, don't bother.

I'm worried about pain levels afterward, also I have needle phobia and I'm really worried about getting an IV and the aftereffects of 'twilight sleep', has anyone had this and can tell me what its like?

I've had to delay longer than I wanted to Because I'm poor=-even now the cost of this after saving all my $ may put me homeless! I'm in oregon but I don't have any state coverage or insurance or anything- I wish this was less espensive
