Please help!! This is not a typical case and I am up for any suggestions. Please read on... I have a 19 month old girl and 4 1/2 year old boy. Here is what is going on.
9/17 Girl has Scarlet Fever, put on Amoxil for 7 days.
9/28 Girl has double ear infection, put on Omnicef for 10 days.
10/1 Girl starts diarrhea and vomits once. Diarrhea continues....
10/5 Boy throws up once, has diarrhea for 2 days.
10/7 Girl throws up 3 times. Starts BRAT diet
10/9 Both throw up.
10/11 Dr visit, girl has pain BEFORE urinating, not during or after. Stool sample sent to lab. Taken off of BRAT diet.
10/14 Both throw up.
10/16 Both throw up. Labs come back negative. Boy starts with pain before urinating.
Okay, there it is. They were tested for several types of viruses, including rotavirus, which all came back negative. We are still waiting on a test for parasites (OMP) to come back which I have been told is an uncommon outcome. My son also has a terrible headache. I am so stumped and completely sleep deprived. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of a similar case PLEASE let me know. This is just killing me knowing that my babies are hurting. |
