2 yr old not talking yet!

Hi, I am a mother of a twenty five months old son. The problem I am having with him may not appear so bad but I'm very concerned. It was very cute listening to him babble for the first couple of months but now as time goes by I get more and more worried. He doesn' speak at all, not even the simplest words like â€œmomâ€ or â€œdadâ€. He doesn't have a hearing problem because he reacts to every sound. What could be the problem?

Hi, I had the same problem with my son. My first concern was that he may not be hearing well. I took him to hearing screening. The doctors didn't detect any problems with his hearing. He understood everything we said but he just wouldn't talk. The doctors said that we shouldn't worry and that eventually he will start talking. And that's what happened. I am sure that that is the situation with your son as well. I guess that our sons are just lazy and stubborn and simply won't start talking until they decide that it is the right time.
