Hi, I have a question for you. It concerns my sister. She is in a third semster of pregnancy, 30th week. Her problem is somewhat odd. Usually, women gain weight while pregnant, but she doesn't. Actually, she's losing it. With no appetite and constant vomiting, she is really worried. 30 weeks pregnant and sudden weight loss? How can that be? Is that normal? What I want to ask, is it dangerous for the baby and my sister? What should we do?

You should be concerned. I've heard about this unusual situation and while your sister might not be much affected by sudden weight loss, her baby might be. This problem is caused by progesterone, hormon that affects abdominal muscles.
Your sister should immediately start taking prenatal vitamins and products that give her and her baby all the calories they must have.
