3 months pregnant with cyst on uterus

Hi,

My cousin has been rushed into hospital with a larger than normal cyst on her uterus/top of womb.

She will be 12weeks gone on Sunday and I have just heard the news that they are planning to operate.

She's currently on Pethadine for the pain which I know is bad for the baby, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the risks are to the baby if she has the operation.

I understand that her life is more important than the baby's especially as she already has my 2year old Godson. But I know how much it would kill her if she lost this one.

Any information from anyone with any experiences of this or anyone in general would be greatly appreciated.
