40 yo, taking prometrium after abortion, no period

I have a young reproductive system and have not had many problems with periods until this abortion on 2/7/2007. Now there is no sign of my period. I know that it should return within 8 weeks on average....what is the outside number of weeks? After reading the warnings on prometrium, I am scared to death to take another dose. I have had a negative pregnanct test. Cant take BC pills. Using gels and condoms for protection since abortion.

It can take up to 3 months for your period to return after an abortion or miscarriage.

If you had an abortion later than 9-10 weeks, it could take longer because there would have been a lot more pregnancy hormone in your system.

LMP was 12/10 and the procedure was 2/7/2007. Otherwise I am like clockwork and it had never taken this long for my period to return after birth or miscarriage. I spotted on March 18 for half a day...does that count?
