Usually, a microdiscectomy spine surgery procedure is performed on an outpatient basis or with one overnight in the hospital, so post-operatively, patients may return to a normal level of daily activity quickly. Some surgeons restrict a patient from bending, lifting, or twisting for the first 6 weeks following surgery. But, since the patient's back is mechanically the same, it is also reasonable to return to a normal level of functioning immediately following microdiscectomy spine surgery. I can tell you why she still has a pain after 4wks, but why does it bothers you? We all react differently.

| I would try all the alternatives first. One out of three back operations will not be successful.Im one of the unsuccessful ones.Over two years later and still unable to work,It can get real frustrating.I hope a something good happens for you.Best of luck. |
