My wife and I are worried about our son. 4 year old wetting itself is our problem these days. We thought that he has overcome this phase, but it does not appear so. Can you tell us what could be causing these problems? He is still very young and cannot explain to us what is going on. Should we take him to a doctor?

Yes, you should. There is a chance that he experienced some trauma and through wetting he is showing his anxiety. Think hard what could be that terrifying for him that he started wetting. Also, there is a chance that he has some physical problems with urinary tract and bladder. To determine this, you must get him to a doctor.
