6 Months of Unexplained Illness

I have been bothered by illness for 6 months now. It all started after a sexual encounter which I regretted from the start and one that was unprotected and possibly quite dangerous. That was the first time I had engaged in such a sexual encounter unprotected and I am not very sexually active to begin with. I got a feeling of feverishness in the neck and head two weeks later that persists to this day although it has somewhat diminished over time. The more troubling symptom is what I assume are swollen glands primarily in my underarm, but also in my groin and neck. I assume these are swollen glands because my underarm and groin area become somewhat painful especially after I exert myself. I can't feel a specific swollen gland per se as I have read online about (can't find a specific swollen mass per se) but the area is annoying all the time and painful after any sort of exertion.

I was tested for all STDs at 7 weeks and all came back negative. I was particularly concerned about HIV and tested for that multiple times out to 6 months all tests being negative (including 2 PCR DNA tests).

I realize my symptoms are generalized, but if anyone has any ideas of what this could be lasting 6 months, I would be most appreciative.
