I've had what I thought to've been UTI's for most of my life. My remedy was just lots of water and uristat for pain and they were always gone within a day or two.
Last May the symptoms started (urgency, frequency, burning, heaviness of the bladder) but never stopped. Without the Uristat I'll go every five minutes. Three months in I started experiencing very painful violent bladder spasms. Not long after that I started having a sorts of pain all over my lower abdomen and especially in and around my vagina: pins and needles, burning, some swelling. We ruled out IC, there has never been any trace of infection, nothing showed up in an ultrasound, I've switched all soaps, wear loose fitting clothes, etc. The only consistent thing in every test is the presence of blood in my urine.
I was put on Elavil and Sanctura and they helped for about a month.
Now as of about three weeks ago I've been passing visible blood and also chunks of what looks like pus and sometimes big bloody pieces of tissue. When I'm not taking the Uristat (it dyes your urine) my urine is slightly pink and when I'm done some blood dribbles out.
I can't sleep well. I'm in pain all the time. It's ruining me. I have all these vivid nightmares about pain now and the images of needles in my bladder or gun to my lower abdomen are in my mind all the time.
Does anyone have any idea as to what might be happening? thanks much. |
