7 week ultrasound no heartbeat- still feel pregnant

Hi, im really worried found out i was pregnant whilst on the pill (yasmin) on the 18th of april on the 23rd i went to have an ultrasound to determine dates. The ultrasound found the embryo showing 7 wks however the tech could not find a heartbeat? i havent had any cramping, bleeding and still have tender breasts and morning sickness? Whats happening???

it could be possiable the tech wasn't very experianed, the machine was an older less high tech one, you could be not quite 7 weeks, or of course the worst possiability it could be a failed pregnancy, if it recently failed your hormones would still be at high enough levels to have the symptoms....I wouldn't worry yet though, speak to your doc and see if they will schedule another ultrasound (most will just to relieve your worries) Or even see if they can find it with a doppler- the might even have you go in for daily blood test for 3 days to make sure your hormones are still increasing (the most probable) if they are than I am sure its either one of the first 3 possibilites- Good luck Smile
