I am currently trying to taper off the stuff. I tried cold turkey once, and my anxiety and panic symptoms came back with a vengance so I saw my doctor and we are doing the taper method.
Depending on how much you take (milligrams) and how long you have been on them will make a huge impact on withdrawl if you go cold turkey. I would suggest you work with a professional.
