My God daughter had a large AVM removed two years ago, in the right frontal lobe of her brain. 6 embolizations were necessary to remove the AVM. The sugery was sucessful, although she continues to have frequent eyeaches and headaches, partial vision loss, and occasional word lapses.
Five days ago, a hard bump appeared on her right temple, between her ear and eye. It has grown to about a inch wide and protrudes about half of an inch high on her skin. Her family physican has scheduled an appointment with a surgeon next week to have it removed.
Could it be possible that an embolized area has broken loose and be causing an aneurysm on her face? Should she see a Doctor sooner? Given her recent brain surgery, should this be considered an emergency? |
