Hi, I did PAP test and my results are not normal. What should I do about it? How is the disorder spread?

A Pap test, comes from Papanicolaou, doctor that studied changes in cervical cells. It is needed to perform the test, since It is the only way to check the cells on your cervix for changes that can lead to cancer. Having abnormal results doesn’t mean that you have malignant changes. The most common reason for an Abnormal PAP test is a vaginal or cervical infection, but it is a treatable condition. When you get normal results you need to repeat the test in one year. Every woman which is taking care of her health should perform the test once a year. Any changes will be noticed and treated accordingly.
