I hope someone can answer this for me...I had a surgical abortion on april 5 th of this year, so pretty much two weeks and 3 days ago...and tonight my boyfriend and I just had sex. At first he went in without a condom for about 5-8 minutes but then put one on to prevent from ejaculating inside me. I am currently on the pill and started taking it the day of the abortion. My question is, what is the possibility that pre-cum can get me pregnant?? I am now more paranoid than ever since at the time I got pregnant I was on Ortho tricyclen low and took it religiously at the same time everyday and never missed a pill.

I was always taught that any kind of unprotected sex could result in STD's and pregancy regardless of whether or not the man actually ejaculates.

I'm not being funny, but you appear to be a little disrespectful of your own body's capabilities. You have recently aborted an unwanted pregnancy, and only weeks later put yourself as risk again by having unprotected sex. As you have found out, the pill is NOT 100% reliable, so you cannot use this as your only form of protection. Neither can you add a condom half way through sexual intercourse and expect everything to be OK.

Sorry I couldn't put your mind at ease, but as someone who is currently fighting for the life of my unborn child I think that you need to think long and hard about your family planning. It is not something that should be abused.

I understand that I was being stupid at the time for not making my boyfriend wear a condom from the beginning, so yes that is my fault. I don't understand though how what I do with my body is up for judgement?! Anyway, I'm not trying to be rude, I just get tired of people trying to impose their views on me when in the end I am going to be the one dealing with the aftermath of my decisions.

Pre-cum does pose *SOME* risk, but not as much as full blwon ejaculation.. Obviously.. =)

How long ago was the sex? If it was 5 days or less you could take the morning after pill.

You are at some risk, yes, but we cannot completely tell you how much risk you took.

did you like having the abortion? I'm not trying to talk shit cause i've had one also and i am pro choice however I don't belive that being prochoice means you can use abortion as a birth control. Precum can get you pregnant pulling out can get you pregnant even on a quicky, so i found out. It is your body and you do have a choice and it is your buisness what you do with it, however did you know that having abortions can scar your uterus making it harder to get pregnant when your actually ready to. Just think of the consiquences to your body if you continue to not use adequate protection and get pregnant again. Good Luck

I have had 3 abortions, and have ZERO scarring.

How do I know? I am a healthcare professional that works for an abortion clinic, and I had a HYSTEROSCOPIC(camera) exam of my uterus.

NO, I do not have scarring, and most women do not either.

Abortion is birth control, albeit not the most cheap kind..

I am not using abortion as birth control, I am currently on the pill and that was the only time sex without a condom happened. I know that having sex without a condom is dumb but i screwed up and now I gotta deal with whatever happens. I was just curious about the possibilties of pregnancy! believe me now i don't allow my boyfriend to penetrate without a condom on, so please stop with all the comments about me not taking care of my body...in the end, it is my body and my uterus!

Abortion is touchy for some people, and if you ask for advice relating to your abortion, those people are better off staying out of it. IMO of course.

you have to be on the pill a full 3 months to make sure its in your system for it to take affect.yes i heard 7 days you can have sex but that sounds early to me my doctor told me 3 months and i have had unprotected sex with my husband and no baby.i have 2 kids at the age of 21 and i lost another when i was 15 yrs old i was beat thats why i lost it,my baby dident ask to be born or to die so please protect your self these babies dont ask to be born .i wish the best for you good luck Crying or Very sad

It is only 7 days...

Some doctors say 3 months because they figure you may miss pills and screw up at first...

ALL pill MANUFACTURERS, and most doctors, state that you are protected after 7 full days of use.

You see.... It ONLY takes 7 days to put your ovaries at 'rest', so they do not ovulate.
