Hi there,
I fell pregnant in 2006. At 7weeks gestation a bloodtest confirmed that I had the Cytomegalovirus and my gynaecologist had to end the pregnancy at 8weeks because there was a big possibility that the embrio could have contracted the virus as well. I would like to know what this Sytomegalovirus is all about, how one could get infected and what the consequences are when one gets infected during pregnancy.
