I recently found out that acupuncture is not all in needles. It seems that doctor use electric and pressure in treatment. Any info on this would be great. I am planning to try with acupuncture for high bloods pressure. I’ve heard that is helpful.
Acupuncture involves stimulating specific anatomic points in the body for therapeutic purposes and Puncturing the skin with a needle is the usual method. However, practitioners also use heat, pressure, friction, suction, or impulses of electromagnetic energy to stimulate the points. It is used to regulate or correct the flow of qi to restore health. Modern theories claim that acupuncture points have certain electrical properties, and stimulating these points alters chemical neurotransmitters in the body.
