Adult Chicken Pox with Esophagus Damage

Hi, I got chickenpox in 35. year! I know that it’s childhood’s disease but it can occur in adults sometimes. Now, I feel like I have problem with swallowing. May esophagus damage be consequence of chickenpox?

I don’t think so. My brother had chicken pox with 36 years. He had red bumps which turned into blisters. It’s highly contagious, so if there are young children or other people with weakend immunity you should keep away from them. Varicella zoster virus causes the disease, so antibiotics are of no help. You should only rest and apply some lotion to prevent itching.
As a result of weak immunity he got pneumonia, but he doesn’t have proper lifestyle habits (eats junk food, doesn’t sleep enough...). Your doctor will assume whether other complications may develop. Your immunity is weakend; you should consider taking some immunostimulators, I believe he got some herbal remedies.
