Advair and weight gain

Hello, folks. I have asthma and I have recently started to use Advair. However, it seems I got some weight. I wonder whether this is related to this medication. Can Advair be responsible for this weight gain? I would appreciate all your replies. Thank you for all your replies and bye!

Hello. Advair is a combination of two drugs. Those are fluticasone and salmeterol. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid. It reduces inflammation in general. Salmeterol is ß2 agonist. It spreads bronchi. This medication can cause many side effects. Gaining weight is maybe a side effect coming from fluticasone. Since I am not sure, you should consult with your doctor. Bye!
