Advice... 2 negative results 1 positive... 2 weeks late yesterday??

Question.... Im 2 weeks late I took 2 tests last week they were Negative & one last night being 2 weeks late and came up positive. My fiance insists Im preggo I think Im still in denial.. Is this a common thing? Also I have been a smoker and took medicane which Im cutting back and have been for awhile incase this situation happened.. If I am infact preggo will my baby be safe with me cutting back everything with the 1st 6-8 weeks. I would be about 6 weeks now. Last cycle started Feb 27 2007.. Thank you Smile

in my experiance i would say you was pegnant as i have two children and both times the tests kept coming up negative including the doctors test which they assured me was very acurate some woman do not show up positive untill 6-8 weeks pegnant even though it states you can test on the day your period was due they are not 100% reliable . i am however going through the same thing again at the moment i have pregnancy symptoms (discharge tiredness cramp sore breasts ets ) and yet again negative results and 2 weeks late with my first lad to stop any confusing i showed up negative for weeks when it did show positive i was 9 weeks pregnant so good luck
