Hi there! I have a weird situation I have been pondering and was wondering if maybe someone could lend me advice. So, here it goes: I have to children lil boys, and after I had my second son I got on the Depo shot in May of 2006. I was supposed to go back in to get another shot to stay on the birth control in September of 2006, but my fiance and I decided to try for another baby. I have not had an actual period since May and I was just wondering what could be the reason for the delay in my menstral cycle, as I have been on the Depo shot before and have never had a problem with my periods returning. One day in November and again for one day in January I spotted bloody mucus but it was the dark "end of period" brown blood and it was only there when I wiped from going to the bathroom I never even had a drop go on a panty liner even. I took a pregnancy test in November and again in December and they both came back negative. What do you think is goin on with me?

Each time you come off Depo is different. Sometimes it can take up to a year for your period to return to normal. Don't worry, it will come back. But if you're very concerned and want some peace of mind, you can always go in and speak to a doctor about it.
