Advice on uncircumcized penis care : mainly after washing

after washing with the foreskin retracted, I always dry the head of the penis and behind it the best I can. I usually use lotion and then pull the foreskin back.

does anyone use something else that may be better than lotion?

Lotions, like Vaseline Intensive Care and soaps, are often harsh or irritating to the tender parts of the head area. Regular Vaseline is ok but I found olive oil to be very soothing.
