Alcoholic has twitching and stuttering?

My dad is an alcoholic. He has been drunk for a week straight (which is not uncommon for him as he is a binge drinker). However, my sister saw him when he was drunk (Day 7) and he had blood in his nose and he was twitching really bad and stuttering. Is this a common side effect or could it be nuerological? He usually gets pretty bad, but this is the first time we seen something like this out of him. She asked him what happened to his nose and he didn't know. He could have fallen, but I think it's likely that the bloody nose, twitching and stuttering all go together.

I dont know of a syndrome that includes those 3 symptoms. I'd say it's more likely he fell. That, or he has shot his liver so much that he has a coagulopathy such as DIC, but then he'd be bleeding from every orifice. If that's the case, get him to an ER right away, it's an emergency!
