Is Alprazolam any good for OCD? I ask this for my brother who has been prescribed with that medication. He has showed his first symptoms almost a year ago and in time those slowly progressed, so that he would eventually get his diagnose OCD. He did not took it very well, since he always claimed not to be ill. So, what about Alprazolam?

Alprazolam is a medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders primarily. This means that it should be able to help your brother. It belongs to a group of benzodiazepines. His function is to slow some substances in the human brain thus relieving the patient of stress and nervousness. Attention disturbance, blurred vision, diarrhea etc. These are just a few of those that await your brother. I hope he will make it.
