Hi! I’m 36 years old. I would like to know something about glaucoma. Well, my dad had it and I’m thinking that maybe I can also have it one day. Does anybody know am I at risk of glaucoma? Do I need to go to doctor to check my eyes? Thanks!
I know from some research that genes have been found that are associated with congenital glaucoma, juvenile glaucoma, normal-tension glaucoma, adult open-angle glaucoma and other conditions that are associated with secondary glaucoma. You didn’t say what type of glaucoma your dad had. Maybe it’s a good idea to go to consult with your eye doctor.
