Am I too young to have laser eye treatment?

Hello! I am Jane and I am sixteen. I wear eye glasses and I really would like to get rid of them. Everybody says I look much prettier without glasses and I think so too. My mother wears glasses as well and she thinks I look good with glasses and she says glasses are "in" again. She also says I am too young to have laser eye treatment. Am I?

Hello! I am afraid you mother is right. Doctors usually don't recommend laser eye surgery for anyone under 18. There are also many doctors who don't recommend laser eye surgery until person is at least 21. During our growth our body changes in many ways. Our eyes also change in many ways. You can talk to your doctor in few years and till then you will probably find out that the beauty comes from you soul, not your face.
