I am a woman who recently got really curious and decided to try anal masturbation. I did not know what I was doing, but I used a foreign object (not an actual toy), and it was not painful going in, but coming out the muscles tensed up and now I'm worried that I might have torn the lining of the rectum. There's been no blood or anything yet, and no pain either, but it's only been about an hour. How long would it take for a fissure to show up? Am I ok? Please help!

I would guess that you're OK.
Any rip or fissure would probably show up as bright red bleeding immediately.

This is why it is so important to:
1) USE LOTS OF LUBE
2) Go SLOWLY.
3) Relax.

Most people report that by stoping and resting before continuing to insert, they can get their sphinter to relax and allow them to continue.
Many people also report that when it's time to withdraw, the object is fairly propelled out by the contraction of the sphinters.... as the main action of the rectum is to expell items...not accept them.

So it is possible that you felt this "relief" or contraction as muscles tensing up.

It's also possible that your body wasn't ready to accept it at all, and so tried to clamp down immediately.

If you're still experiencing cramping tomorrow, or you should develop any continued bleeding, seek medical help. But from what you've shared, you should be OK.

Just make sure you use lots of lube (KY, water-based, or thicker gel) next time and take your time to relax. It's not for everyone. Some people get off on it, some do not. (Frankly, I think people have built it up more than it deserves, but there are some people who swear by it as great!)
