Anal warts-Never had intercourse

Recently my daughter was diagnosed with anal warts however she has never had any type of sexual intercourse or contact at all. Is having them removed.

I am diagnosed with genital warts so i know every little thing about this std. The only way one can catch this disease is by having intercourse. You cant catch it by a toilet seat or anything similar to that... So what you need to do is just support her because its becomes a very very emotional moment in their lives and makes them feel inadequate in all ways as a person. She needs to see her doctor and get them removed. This std is different with everyone ie. at what level are the warts at, will i get cervical cancer...etc... Just talk to your family doctor and research.

Hi, I've also had them (I'm a male) and it was from sex, in my case. I had them surgically removed and what a pain in the - Ok, seriously now - really though, it did hurt like crazy for a couple of days but I healed fast. And they never came back. That was over 10 years ago. But I heard from my doctor that in many cases they keep coming back on their own. Not too sure of the specifics, but that all what I know about them., which is not a lot, really. As for care, let her rest for a couple days and careful, oh she needs to be careful, with any bowel movements during the few days after. I almost passed out from the severe pain that I experienced attempting a BM. Good luck to her. (though its probably a bit late to say that!)
