What medical complication can occur with people with anorexia? I am in high school and I have three girls in my class that are anorexic. They look very sick for me, but no one seems to care about it. I think they need help.

They probably do, the starvation experienced by persons with anorexia nervosa can cause damage to vital organs such as the heart and brain. It affects their blood pressure and this can even lead to heart failure. I had a friend she was anorexic. Her fingers were curved; her bones became ‘gummy’. It was terrible. She lost calcium from bones, which can become brittle and prone to breakage. And there is more complication that occurs with this condition.
