Hi,
I started birth control (marvelon) for one week now (started at the first day of my period), Now i'am on Antibiotc2 days ago ... for how long should i use a back up after i finish my Antibiotc

Because some antibiotics can lower the effectiveness of BC, they say to use backup. Antibiotics don't make the BC completely uneffective, but it is a good idea to take extra precautions. You should use a backup for 7 days after finishing the antibiotics before having unprotected sex. Have a good day!
