Hi, has anyone heard or even better applied antibiotic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis?
I would like to try antibiotic treatment of RA, is it working?
Antibiotic therapy is approach based on many researches indicating that there is infectious cause of inflammatory process of joints in autoimmune inflammatory diseases. According to this theory rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis have an infectious cause such as mycoplasma. Antibiotics of tetracycline or macrolide families, attack the bacteria and stop the disease. The bacterial forms which trigger these diseases are much slower growing organisms. The antibiotic protocols are based on the long-term treatment with low-dose antibiotics. Three days per week - sometimes more frequently antibiotics are administrated. .
