It is possible that you are pregnant. Some antibiotics can greatly reduce the effectiveness of birth control. Make sure when ever your doctor prescribes something, you ask if it will affect the effectiveness of your birth control pill. Take a pregnancy test. Good Luck!

Well, I was in the middle of my pack which should have meant I was ovulating. I was late taking the pill one day... but doubled up as advised. Then, got Strep at the end of that week and ended up going to the doc that following morning. I was told that sperm can live in you for up to 72 hours. That last day I ended up taking BC I started the antibiotics. I am now two weeks late. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. However, my finance is worried because he was told that even if it's negative I could still be pregnant and he feels that I am. He is worried that I am at risk for ectopic pregnancy. His friend's girlfriend had it so now he is concerned about me. I do have fatigue, back pains, swollen breasts etc., but then again that could just mean my period is coming right? And it's just late because my system is messed up. Should I still be concerned?
