Hi! I have an appt with Dr Alter for Clitorpexy and I just wanted to ask if you are happy with the outcome after the swelling went down? Thanks! Leah
I had labiaplasty AND clitoropexy done about 2 weeks ago with Dr. Alter. Im pretty sure everyonehas seen Dr. 90210?? He's the main dr on the show that performs the gentail surgery. Pain wise it hasnt been that bad, mainly just the first week or so. Im finally starting to walk normal. As far as the results, Im still a little undecided what I think. I dont think my clitoris looks natural at all!! I just took his work for it that I needed the clitoropexy and wasnt able to see the before & after pics until brievly the day before my sergury. It looks as if it has been "pinned" up. And so shortened I can hardly tell what it is. Also it looks somewhat like a butt crack..lol. Seriously though, it has a split in the center. I havent addressed any concerns to him yet, Im still waiting for all the swelliong to go away so I can see the final result.
Please respond.....

I too went to Dr. Alter last June for a minor procedure. He talked me into something completley different, and since then I have suffered tremendously. Please be aware of your feelings and what you want, not what he "thinks" you need. It could be the biggest mistake of your life, as it has been mine. I have lived in pain, sensitivity, burning sensations and much more hell since. Just know that there are thousands of nerve endings around your clitoris that once cut and severed, will NEVER be the same. I am only saying this because if I could go back in time, I would have realized that I didn't need what he thought I did. My life has changed dramatically since, and I would not wish this on ANYONE. Please really think about it before you do it.. If I can save at least one person from this nightmare, than my suffering will not be in vain.. Learn from my mistake and know what you are doing, who you are and exactly what "you" want before you go through with something like this.. Just because someone is on TV does not make them qualified.

i am most concerned with clitoroplexy since there are so many nerve endings there and the repositioning of the clitoris sounds not only painful but dangerous, esp after reading this recent post.

If you haven't undergone the procedure, DON"T!! It is a decision that could really affect your life in a detrimental way. I had labiaplasty about 1 month ago and I'm in discomfort and not pleased with the results. I'm disgusted with myself that I had it done and wish I could turn back time. It has affected me both physically and emotionally and I will always live with regret.

When you think about it - wouldn't you rather live with long bits of skin between your legs rather than skin which is scarred and that could affect your whole life and sex life? Don't go under the knife particularly for an area that's so sensitive.

Labiaplasty appears to be very common in America - i live in Australia, it is becoming common but it seems to be a more well known procedure in the States...

Anyway, as for Clitoroplexy - no way. Do not touch the clitoris - there are so many nerve endings there. Such a procedure will most definitely affect your sensation.

Ladies, be happy with what you've got. There are so many illness and health conditions in the world that are far worse than having long labia. I feel that from a perfectly healthy woman I've turned into someone with discomfort and emotional issues - issues that I wouldn't have had if i didn't have the procedure.
So anyone who is thinking of doing it, think twice.

I'm scheduled to have labiaplasty in June. I'm now having second thoughts even though I already paid a deposit of $500. I'm mostly worried about losing sensation. I'm going to someone who I researched really well, but then I read the stuff about Dr. Alter and he is certainly well regarded.

Missmuffet, did you do it?

For those of you who are unhappy, did you have the wedge method or the straight trim method?

by the way, local anestesia hurts like hell when you get injected.
it's not a painless surgery.
i would ask your doctor if you can use an antibiotic ointment of any sort to prevent an infection, i would use cold packs as much as possible, do not wear underwear, pads or pants.
wash the area 3 times a day gently.
and don't let your partners to enjoy that area to much orally now that
it's like new again.
good luck
