Anyone tried aplying heat to the bell's palsy affected face for pain?

Hi, my brother is 34 years old and he is suffering from bell's palsy for several days. He is complaining and pain which is he experiencing from only beginning of this disorder. I have heard that heat may help with pain in such situation. I would like to know if anyone tried applying heat to the bell's palsy.

Hi, applying of heat may be very good in such situations and doctors suggest it very often. Heat may improve circulation which may be helpful for the damaged nerve. Also you may try ibuprofen or some other NSAID to ease his pain. I hope this advice would help to your brother too.
