My brother’s child is autistic and he heard that chelation therapy may be helpful for Autism. He’s thinking to try it but his son's doctor doesn’t recommend it at all. I know that some people tried this therapy and that it was pretty useful. Now he doesn’t know what to do. Anyone used chelation therapy for Autism?
First you should know that there's no scientific evidence that chelation therapy is an effective autism treatment. Unfortunately, there is no cure for autism but unproven alternative therapies are often suggested to parents who are desperate to find something that will help their children. I know that chelation therapy sometimes may be harmful.
