Hello, I am 34 years old and I have two kids, 6 and 8 years old. I would like to ask something about glaucoma. Anything I can do to lower the chances of developing glaucoma? It runs in the family and right now my grandfather has it. I am just concerned about my kids...

Glaucoma is a very serious condition that might lead to blindness if left untreated. This means that your grandfather must be very cautious and do all possible to deal with this. As for glaucoma in family, there is a 6% chance that your kids might have this illness. What is even more interesting, level of blood pressure in the eye does not have much to do with the appearance of this condition.
