Arachnoid Cyst and Hearing Loss-related?

Hi, my friend's daughter who is 16 years old has arachnoid cyst. However this cyst was found accidentally when she makes MRI because of her migraines. In the several few weeks she started to hear worse and they are very concerned about it. I would like to know if hearing loss may be caused by arachnoid cyst.

Hi, it is pretty hard to say on the base of several facts which you gave. However possibility always exist that cyst can make pressure on the some center for hearing in the brain. It would be good that ENT examine her and see if everything is all right with her hearing system. If it is fine than they would reconsider possibility that cyst caused hearing loss, centrally in the brain.
