My friend had a car accident last year. Doctors performed back surgery with success. Well, it seemed so at the time. But now, he is diagnosed with arachnoiditis. He quit his job a month ago and does not want to see any of his friends. His parents did not tell me much of this arachnoiditis. Except that is very serious condition. Can you explain it to me?

Arachnoiditis is a condition with no cure. That is the first thing to know. Second, it is possible that it was caused during his back surgery if it was performed near his spine. Third, its main symptom is pain. It does not go away, it can only be cooled down with painkillers. Persons suffering from this condition are rarely able to work. And just to be informed, arachnoidea is one of three layers surrounding our brain and spine.
