Are boys liker to be autistic than girls?

Hello! My sister has a daughter who is autistic. She is not the first autistic child in our family since we have a brother who is autistic too. It is probably something in our genes. When I take my sister’s daughter to her special-needs school I notice that there aren’t many girls. Actually, she is in a small class with all boys in it. Are boys liker to be autistic than girls?

Hello! Yes, it is proved that there are more autistic boys than girls. It is suspected that the reason may be in the different brain structure. Girls have stronger social and language areas which may help them to overcome autistic tendencies by the time. It's just a theory but the difference in number is definitely a fact since out of every four kids with autism, three will be boys.
