Hi! My grandpa is very old and very ill. He was hospitalized few weeks ago. My parents and I are worried a lot. I heard many stories about delirium. Now I’m afraid that it can happen to my grandpa. Please, tell me are geriatric patients the main risk group of developing delirium?

Hi! As I know you can say that geriatric patients are one of the main risk groups of developing delirium. I know for sure that delirium is more common in the elderly than in the general population. The statistics says that delirium affects at least one in ten hospitalized patients.
