Are there any side effects of the treatment for wegener's granulomatosis?

I have just been diagnosed with Wegener’s granulomatosis and it seems like they have finally found out what is wrong with me. Lungs and kidney problems combined with nose issues were and still are very annoying, but I guess that will subdue with the therapy. Anyway, are there any side effects of the treatment for this illness?

Unfortunately, it is quite possible that you will have to experience some of those side effects. Bladder irritation, bleeding, even sterility might happen. And these three are just a tip of the iceberg. But, even though the meds are “heavy” (cytoxan for example), they are necessary; because a patient could die within months if nothing is done.
