Hi, folks. I have heard that vitamins are good and healthy, but if someone exaggerate with taking, one can have symptoms of vitamin toxicity. The thing that I would really like to know is whether there are some consequences of this toxicity. I will appreciate all your replies. Thanks in advance.
Hello. Some vitamin toxicity can cause a permanent consequences. For some vitamins there is still testing about their hypervitaminosis effects. Vitamin A can cause bone remodeling. Vitamin D hypervitaminosis can cause kidney stones and metastatic calcification. There can be some other renal effects as well. If too large doses of vitamin K is administrated, there can be hyperbilirubinaemia, haemolytic anemia or even death. Vitamin C is interesting. Some scientists say that megadoses of this vitamin can cure cancer. Others claim that these large doses can cause cancer! I don't know which ones have right.
