Hello, guys. My brother has been suffering from hypertension for many years. He has been recently discovered angina pectoris. I am wondering whether these two diseases are related in any way. What do you know about this? I will appreciate your opinion. Thanks to all people who answer to my post.
Hello, Hypertension is considered to be one of the risk factors for unstable angina pectoris. Hypertension in general damages blood vessels. It can provoke plaque rupture. It can also cause myocardial ischemia. With hypertension, heart has to pump harder to beat the pressure of blood vessels. As a result, there is enlargement of heart muscle. This muscle needs more oxygen and at one point coronary arteries cannot supply enough blood for it. And there is angina. I hope I’ve helped. Bye!
